Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

December is the month to think again about God’s wondrous gift in sending His Son
into our world. What is Christmas? What does Christmas mean today? After all the festivities,
gifts, and decorations come and go, what is left that we can take with us into the New
Year? This December I want us to think about and wrestle with the question: What is Christmas?

December 4 The Day God Became A Person (John 1:1-14)
December 11 Singing Christmas Tree Presentation
December 18 The Day Your Savior Came To Earth (Matthew 1:23)
December 25 The Day Hope Came Into Your Life (Jeremiah 33:14-16)

The Singing Christmas Tree is back with its 2016 edition. The presentation will take
place on Friday and Saturday, December 9-10, at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 11, at 9:00
and 11:00 a.m. We will also offer refreshments on Friday and Saturday an hour before the
presentation. Get your tickets by going online or call the church office. Church members do
not need a ticket for Sunday morning! Yet we encourage you to invite a friend and get them
a ticket for Sunday morning as your guest! Sign-up in Victory Hall to be an usher or greeter
or volunteer in Victory Hall on Friday and Saturday.

The Christmas season is also about giving. As you make your list and check it twice,
don’t forget to include the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. About 5000 missionaries are
counting on our generous support. The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering provides 50% of the
annual support for our international missionaries. It’s our way of touching hearts and transforming lives around the world. Consider giving a gift that will impact lives across the globe. Our church goal this year is $10,000.00.

Christmas Eve offers two opportunities to celebrate the birth of our Savior. A traditional
candlelight service will take place at 4:00 p.m. and a family candlelight service will
take place at 6:00 p.m. Both services will feature Christmas favorites and a message to help
us think about the wonder of Christmas.

We are having church on Christmas Day this year. We will have one service at 11:00
a.m. to celebrate Christmas. The contemporary service and Sunday School classes will not
meet on that day. Merry Christmas everyone!

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
