Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

November is a month to focus upon giving thanks and sharing with those in need.
It’s a time to give praise to God for all He has done and a time to bless others. “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4).

November is about serving the needs of others. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Ingathering. These groceries will be used to serve the needs of our community
during the Thanksgiving season. We will have a church-wide packing party for the Operation
Christmas Child shoe boxes on Friday, November 15th from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and will dedicate
the shoe boxes on Sunday, November 17th in both worship services. This is a great opportunity to bless a child around the world. We will also host our annual Community Thanksgiving dinner. People from all over our community will join together on Thanksgiving Day to share a Thanksgiving meal. You can get involved in this ministry by volunteering to serve and by giving to help with the cost.

In November we begin a new message series called “Finding Grace.” The goal for this
series is that each person either find grace for the first time by accepting Jesus as Savior or
find grace by experiencing God in a fresh way. The messages for November include the following:

  • November 3 Understanding Grace (Ephesians 2:8-10)

  • November 10 The Crazy Math of Grace (Matthew 20:1-17)

  • November 17 An Unpopular Man Finds Grace (Matthew 9:9-13)

  • November 24 A Religious Man Finds Grace (John 3:1-17)

Trying to find the ministry that is a perfect fit for you? Thinking about joining a ministry and getting involved at First Baptist? You’re invited to attend the class called “Finding
Your Place In Ministry” on Saturday, November 16, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. This
class will help you discover how your personality type, your spiritual gifts, your abilities, your
passions, and your life experiences can help you find the ministry that is just right for you.
You can sign-up at the Information Table at church or by calling the church office at 352-795-
3367. Get involved and make a difference for Christ!

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
