Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

April promises to be a fantastic month at First Baptist Church of Crystal River. We will continue the message series called “MythBusters.” This series will examine several common beliefs that our culture and sometimes even Christians hold about the Bible and the Christian faith. This series will examine whether these common beliefs are accurate or sim-ply based upon a myth. Together we’ll either confirm the myth or we’ll bust the myth. The message titles for April include the following:

  • April 2 Hell Is A State Of Mind (Mark 9:43-48)

  • April 9 Leaders Are To Be Served (Mark 10:42-45)

  • April 16 The Disciples Stole The Body And Made Up The Resurrection
    (Matthew 27:62-66; 28:11-15)

  • April 23 The Bible Is Against Science (Genesis 1:1-31)

  • April 30 Religion Is A Private Matter (1 Corinthians 12:3-13)

The Children’s Ministry is sponsoring a Spring Fling on Saturday, April 8th from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. The event begins with breakfast and concludes with an Easter Egg Hunt. We will also share the story of resurrection and new life during this event. All children and their families are welcome to attend. There is no charge for this event!

The Worship Arts Ministry will present “The Living Last Supper” on Sunday, April 9th. Both the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. service will meet in the sanctuary for this dramatic presentation. This moving rendition will draw you into a time of deep reflection and appreciation for all Christ has done for you and challenge you to become the leader Christ wants you to be.

Easter Sunday promises to be a grand celebration of Jesus’ resurrection. The contemporary service will meet in Victory Hall at 8:30 a.m. and there will be two traditional services in the sanctuary at both 9:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. We will continue our wonderful tradition on Easter Sunday by “flowering the cross” in all three worship services.

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
