Welcome to First Baptist Church of Crystal River, Florida

We welcome everyone to our church and fellowship. If you are looking for a loving, caring and Bible preaching church, come and visit us at First Baptist. Our doors are always open. If you have special needs or need someone to pray with you, feel free to call our church office.

The ABC's of Becoming A Christian

  • Admit that you have sinned, that you have broken God’s Law.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for every wrong thing you’ve ever done. Believe that He was buried and rose again on the third day.
  • Confess to Jesus that you want Him to forgive you and lead your life.

Are you ready to receive Jesus into your life? Say this prayer, “God, I admit that I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. The best way I know how, I receive Jesus into my life to lead me and save me. Amen.”

Please contact one of our staff so that we may pray with you and help you understand what it means to becoming a Christian.

A Note From Our Pastor

June marks the beginning of our summer season. The children are out of school. Vacations and time with family are scheduled on our calendars. It’s a time to relax and catch our breath before the fall season arrives once again.

Yet things are still moving forward at First Baptist Church of Crystal River. Things are especially busy in the children and youth ministries. Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 13-17 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. We have over 100 children attend this event each year and could use your help in making it a great success. We especially need volunteers to help the children move from activity to activ-ity throughout the day. It’s a great way to invest in our children and to make a difference in their lives.

Our youth ministry is getting ready for a great summer experience at Youth Camp from July 11-15. The youth will be attending Lake Yale this year. Thank you to eve-ryone who helped our teenagers reduce the cost of camp through various fundraisers and through the 100 Club.

We have a special patriotic celebration scheduled for July 3. The theme this year is “Let Freedom Ring.” We will be talking about political freedom, religious freedom and spiritual freedom. We will honor our veterans through a special display in the Welcome Center and through a special recognition during the service. Our choir will be singing and there will also be special music. Our service times that day will be 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. We will also service lunch at both 11:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The church will provide the chicken and drinks and we are asking everyone to bring a side dish and dessert.

Summer is also a great time to join the church family at First Baptist Church. Our next Church Membership Class is Saturday July 16 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon. You can sign-up at church or call the church office. At First Baptist Church, there is a place for you to belong. Come and join the family!

God Bless,

Pastor Tim
